M. Sc. Geoinformatics
The M.Sc. Geoinformatics is of 100 credits, divided suitably into 4 semesters including two projects. The degree is conferred under the aegis of Symbiosis International University. Details of course curriculum are given below:
1st Year:
Semester - I
Business Communication skills, Fundamentals of GIS, Fundamentals of Urban Planning, Fundamentals of Remote Sensing, GIS Database and Structure, Fundamentals of Mapping, Programming Language-1, Natural Resources, Geosciences and Water Resources, Disaster Scenario Mapping, Fundamentals of Computer Networking, Aerial Photography and Image Interpretation.
Semester - II
Advanced Image Interpretation, Fundamentals of Digital Image Processing, Digital Image Classification, Global Positioning Systems, Photogrammetry, Programming Language-II, Principles of Geodatabase Management System, GIS Application Development, Introduction to Web Technology, Spatial Analysis
2nd Year:
Semester - III
Summer Project, GIS Application Design, Terrain Modeling, Digital Photogrammetry, Programming Language-III, Programming Language- IV, GIS Application Development-II, Advanced Web Technologies, Spatial Modeling, GIS Project Management.
