Geospatial company could provide an individual service or group of services which are inter-linked. Major categories of Geospatial industries are,

Data Acquisition & Processing:
With the help of Aerial or Satellite imagery, 2D/3D vector map is created with feature identification and with attributing the information in the form of database.

Data Analysis:
GIS analysis brings about patterns, relationships, and trends in geographic data that helps one understand how to make informed decisions or plan for the future. It combines Geography, Remote Sensing, computers and information technology for dealing with practical and scientific problems across the world. Analysts can turn computer mapping in to a powerful decision making tool by use of GIS with remotely sensed aerial or satellite images. GIS analysis has become an integral part of ever complex fields such as disaster management, watershed management, environmental assessment, and risk assessment, to name a few.

GIS Development:
To process, analyze and application of the data effectively, Software could be developed using digital map. The two major categories in GIS development are, GIS Customization and GIS Software development. This area of interest requires Software development skill sets.

GIS Applications:
Geospatial technologies have changed the face of Geography in terms of mapping. This new advent in the technology has broadened job prospects in both the public and private sectors. Geospatial technology includes three different disciplines; namely , GIS (Geographical Information Systems), RS (Remote Sensing) and GPS (Global Positioning Systems).Graduates in Engineering, Computer Science, IT,Geography, Geology, Natural-Resource Management, Physical Sciences and Life Sciences have been applying GIS and Remote-Sensing skills for multifarious purposes in their respective fields. U.S. Department of Labour identified Geographic Information technology as 'one of the three most important emerging and evolving fields', along with nanotechnology and biotechnology. Demand for skilled hands in geospatial technology is growing worldwide. Infra-structure development, environmental management, transportation, telecom, defence and security are some of the most active market segments.
